Dr. Moy tests the joint and finds what’s actually restricted.
Services
Hands-on joint and soft tissue work from Dr. Moy himself, aimed at the stiffness your body has been guarding.
What It Is
Manual therapy is hands-on treatment of the joints, muscles, and connective tissue that have stopped moving well. Dr. Moy uses his hands to find the restriction, then works on it directly. No machine, no heat pack, no aide.
Depending on what he finds, that means joint mobilization to free up a stiff joint, soft tissue and myofascial work to release tight muscle and scar tissue, or manual traction to take pressure off an irritated nerve. He reassesses as he goes, so the technique follows the tissue.
Massage is built for relaxation. This is built to change how a joint moves. Dr. Moy is a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist, so hands-on work is the specialty here, not five minutes tacked on at the end. And if you’re the type who plays through it, works through it, and never mentions it, this is your excuse to let someone finally put hands on it.
Pressure you control, start to finish
What It Helps
If the thing holding you back is range you no longer have, hands are usually the fastest way in.
What A Session Looks Like
1
Dr. Moy tests the joint and finds what’s actually restricted.
2
Will it hurt? It should feel firm, not painful. You set the pressure and you can say stop.
3
Then we move through the new range, so your body keeps it.
Why It Works
Often, more range inside the same hour.
It goes after the restriction, not the symptom.
Exercise stops backfiring once you can move.
Fewer compensations picking up the slack.

Your first visit starts with a cause-first evaluation, not a treatment off a menu. Manual Therapy is used when the evaluation says it is the right tool for what is driving your symptoms, and it is delivered one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy for the full hour.
Amplify Physical Therapy and Wellness is in network with BCBS PPO and Medicare, and out of network with Aetna and United Healthcare. There is also a cash-based option with the price agreed up front. We check your benefits before your first visit so you know the cost before you commit.
Most patients feel meaningful change within 4 to 6 visits. Your plan moves through the four phases, Pain, Prime, Perform, and Prevent, so there is a defined endpoint rather than an open-ended run of appointments.
